Highlights from EXHIBITOR2014

EXHIBITOR2014 was recently held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Held yearly by Exhibitor Magazine, this exhibition is the most highly attended learning event for trade show and event marketing professionals, event managers, and communications specialists who take part in the planning, management or implementation of an organization’s trade show or corporate event marketing program. At EXHIBITOR2014 a huge collection of new trade show and corporate event products and services were on display for attendees, and here are the top products that made their public debut at the exhibition.

Crystal HoloExpert by PeopleVisionFX
The Crystal HoloExpert is a new display device that creates a 3D, holographic projection of a spokesperson and provides the opportunity for a holographic “expert” to give a personal presentation to every attendee that visits an exhibit. A key feature of the HoloExpert is the ability for attendees to interact with the display by selecting different subjects, speakers, and product information from a digital menu for further study. This product is sure to attract audiences to an exhibit and enable the exhibiting company to remain memorable by communicating relevant information in an innovative way.

Sound Shower Speaker System by SmartSource Computer & Audio Visual Rentals

Sound Shower is an innovation that solves the problem of delivering great audio in a noisy trade show environment. At the core of its performance is a “plane wave” technology that consists of a group of flat and lightweight electrostatic loudspeakers and microphones. They work together to deliver a focused, high directional “shower” of sound that offers superior sound quality to areas from 3-by-3 feet to300-by-300 feet while dramatically reducing audio disturbance to other exhibitors and guests outside of that space. It also has a unique microphone and amplifier system that gauges the ambient noise around each speaker and automatically adjusts the volume of the speaker to accommodate comfortable listening for everyone throughout the day.

Down-Lite by Ellumilite Inc.
The Down-Lite is the first ever pull down retractable light that unfurls to reveal a backlit graphic. Externally it looks like a pull down window shade, but internally it is actually a bright, backlit sign. The Down-lite has a retractable display made of a thin sheet of electroluminescent lighting that uses phosphorus ink to create an even glow when electrified. The product is printed and lit on one side of a coated polyester surface, while a dark, matte surface covers the other side. Mounting hardware allows the sign’s case to be hung from any overhead surface. With no bulbs to light up the sign, the Down-lite is virtually unbreakable.

Aura by Armadillo
Armodilo has taken tablet kiosks to stylish new heights with their Aura kiosks. The kiosks are able to be entirely clad in unique magnetic graphic panels that can be quickly and simply changed. Magnetic strips hold panels firmly in place against an aluminum frame. The panels can be backlit with embedded LED light strips. Graphics can be reverse-printed on Lexan (a clear, acrylic-type material) that allows backlighting to shine through or on a variety of other materials for a custom effect. Quick-change panels can be directly purchased from Armodilo or users can handle the production themselves. It’s time to say goodbye to misaligned graphics or fabrics that crease and get dirty.
